Pratibimb is the bi-annual publication by BVPIEEE (the IEEE student chapter of BVCOE). It is published online and in print, once a year each. The magazine records progress made by BVPIEEE, and has contributions by students throughout the university for creative and technical writing.
Pratibimb was originally launched in 2007.
I served as Editor of Pratibimb during 2010-2011, and later advanced to the position of Executive Editor and Head of Design during 2011-2012. As Editor, I wrote for the magazine, edited entries by students and contributed to design. As executive editor, my role expanded to oversee all articles in different sections within the magazine, and in a team, I was responsible for the magazine from start to publishing and distribution.
Apart from writing and editing, I also managed creative and editorial design for the magazine. During the period 2011-2012, I worked with the Pratibimb team to refresh the identity of the magazine, where we decided upon the new logo.
"Ambigrams. How about we use an ambigram as our logo? That would look pretty cool."
And so, ambigram logo, indeed.
"Well, now that we have that, how about we make an entirely ambigram-inspired cover as well? It would definitely fit with the 'Reflection of perfection' tagline that Pratibimb is attached to."
Well, then, ambigram-inspired cover indeed.
This special-edition magazine cover, in behaving like an ambigram, is upright no matter how you hold the magazine.
